last week 13 deer were killed dead by
speeding cars going too fast to stop
last week 13 deer were smooshed in half by
speeding cars going too fast to stop
last week 13 deer were broken by
speeding cars going too fast to stop
by
speeding cars going too fast to stop
on the highway

What if you were one of those deer
killed dead by
speeding cars going too fast to stop?

actually i think there were only 9, but i forgot that while i wrote it....13 sounds better anyway. :)

Sara, I love this. It makes me think a lot, and for some reason the innocence of repeating "killed dead" makes it even sadder...
