Some of my favorites:
Saltation-(n) 1.the act of leaping or jumping, 2.dance
Kerfuffle- (n) disturbace or fuss
Purfle- (v) to finish with an ornamental border
Quaggy- (a) 2. soft or flabby
Mugwump- (n) 1. a person who is unable to make up their mind about something, esp. politics
Sesquipedalianism- (a) 1. given to using long words (i'm sorry, i have no idea how to pronounce this one. :))
Lugubrious- (a) mournful, dismal, gloomy
Foofaraw- (n) 1. excessive or flashy ornamentation or decoration, 2. a fuss over a matter of little importance
Exculpate- (v) 1. to clear from alleged fault or guilt
Pukka- (a) authentic, genuine
Appellation- (n) the word by which a person or thing is called or known
Fillip- (v) 1. to strike with the nail of a finger snapped from the end of the thumb, 2. to tap or strike smartly (yes, my dear friends, "to fillip" means "to snap"...isn't that just amazing!)
Words are pretty much the best.
