the other day my mom got this little flower from walmart. it is my absolute favorite type-ranunculus (i'm not exactly sure how to pronounce that, but believe me it is gorgeous).

this picture makes me unbelievably happy

isn't it beautiful?

it rained the other day
and then the sun came out again.
my mom's garden in all its after-storm beauty
beckoned me.
i listened.

i love getting up close
to the flowers
and taking pictures of their
intricate beauty.
